The Saudi Ministry of Hajj has issued a warning to Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs, calling for measures to prevent Pakistani beggars from entering the kingdom on Umrah visas.
Sources from the Ministry of Religious Affairs report that Saudi authorities have expressed concerns over the increasing number of Pakistani beggars arriving on Umrah visas. The ministry cautioned that if this issue is not addressed, it could have a negative impact on Pakistani Umrah and Hajj pilgrims.
In response, Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs plans to implement an “Umrah Act” to regulate travel agencies facilitating Umrah trips, ensuring they operate under legal supervision.
